Terms of Service

This page explains the terms of service that apply when you visit or buy from Dave's Hot Chicken Academy, including the course site for daves chicken lessons at daveshotchickens.website. It is a plain rules document, not a sales page: what you may do here, what we owe you, what we do not promise, and who to write to when something needs fixing.

Using the site

The rules below cover every page on daveshotchickens.website, including the course, program, free recipe pages, and any future additions to the dave hot chicken library.

Who may use this site

You may browse the site if you are old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live. If you are buying course access for a minor in your household, you are the account holder and you are responsible for how that access is used. You do not need an account to read recipes or the program outline.

What you may do here

You may read, print, and cook from any page we leave open to the public, and you may keep the notes you write for yourself. Sharing a link with a friend is fine. Copying our lesson text, video, or photography into your own site, class, or channel is not.

What you may not do

  • Resell, rebrand, or repackage course material as your own paid product or live class.
  • Share your course login so that others watch in your place, or use one purchase for a group.
  • Scrape the site, hammer it with automated requests, or attempt to reach parts of it that are not public.
  • Use our name, recipe wording, or photography in advertising that suggests we sponsored or approved it.

Orders, access, and payment

Course access is sold through the pricing page. Payment is handled by a third-party processor; we do not see or store your card number on this site. Current prices and what each tier includes are shown on the pricing page before you pay.

Your order

An order is confirmed when the payment processor returns a successful result and you see the confirmation page. Until then, nothing is owed and nothing is unlocked. If a payment is reversed, the linked course access ends on the same day.

Access window

The access period for each tier is stated on the pricing page at the moment of purchase. Access is personal to the buyer and begins when payment clears, not when you first log in.

Price changes

We may change prices for future buyers at any time. The price you paid at checkout stays the price that governs your purchase, and no later increase is applied to it.

Refund requests

Refund requests go to [email protected] with the email you used at checkout. We review them case by case and reply during support hours; the outcome depends on how much of the course you have already viewed.

Course content and what it is for

Everything on this site is cooking instruction for home kitchens. It is not medical, dietary, or food-safety certification, and it does not replace the advice of a qualified professional for your own situation.

Lesson material

Video lessons, written steps, and photographs are provided for your own cooking. We keep them available as described at purchase, and we may correct a mistake, re-shoot a step, or add a clarification when a lesson can be made clearer.

Your results

How a batch of dave's hot chicken turns out depends on your stove, your oil, your bird, and how closely you follow the steps. We teach the method; we cannot promise a specific taste, texture, or outcome in your kitchen.

Heat and allergies

Some recipes use very hot chili. Taste as you go, keep a dairy drink nearby, and skip or reduce any level that does not suit you or your guests. Recipes also use buttermilk, wheat flour, and egg; check the ingredient list against any allergy before you cook.

Our content, your content

Ownership runs both ways. Ours covers the teaching; yours covers what you bring to it. A quick read of the split saves arguments later.

What we own

The lesson videos, written steps, recipe wording, photographs, and the page design belong to Dave's Hot Chicken Academy. You get a personal licence to use them for cooking at home for as long as your access lasts. You do not get to sell them, publish them, or pass them on.

What you keep

Photographs you take of your own cooks, notes you write, and anything you post about your own kitchen stay yours. If you send us a photo or a note for feedback, you allow us to read it and reply; we do not republish it without asking you first.

Names and marks

Dave's Hot Chicken Academy and the daveshotchickens.website name are ours. Please do not use them as the name of your own shop, channel, class, or product, and do not imply that we back it.

Availability, changes, and limits

Any site goes down sometimes. We aim to keep the course pages reachable, we fix what we can during support hours, and we tell buyers by email when a lesson needs to be paused, replaced, or removed. We may also add a module, retire one that no longer matches the method, or update a recipe as techniques change.

We are not responsible for losses that come from something outside our control: a failed internet connection, a device that will not play video, a payment processor outage, or a decision you make in your own kitchen. Where the law in your state does not allow a limit like this, that limit does not apply to you.

Ending your access

We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken in a way that harms the site, other buyers, or our teaching material. Where the problem is minor and fixable, we write to you first and give you a chance to correct it. You may stop using the site at any time; ending access does not create a refund by itself.

Privacy and cookies, in short

These terms sit alongside our privacy and cookie documents. Read them together; where a question is about personal data, those pages give the fuller answer.

Your details

We collect the details you type into a contact or purchase form so we can answer you and deliver the course. We do not sell them to anyone.

Questions about these terms

The quickest answers to the questions we get most about orders, refunds, and using course material.

How do I ask for a refund on a course purchase?

Write to [email protected] from the email address you used at checkout, and say which tier you bought and what went wrong. We reply during support hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. If you would rather talk it through, call +1-615-555-0192 in the same hours.

Can I share my course access with a friend or my family?

Course access is personal to the buyer, so a login cannot be handed around. Cooking together in one kitchen on one screen is fine; giving a friend the password so they can watch from their own home is not. If two people in a household each want their own progress and notes, each needs a purchase.

Do the terms change after I buy?

We may update this page as the site grows. When a change would affect what you already paid for, we email buyers before it takes effect. The version published here at the time of your purchase is the one that governs that purchase.

May I teach your recipes in my own cooking class?

Not as our material. You are welcome to cook anything you learn for yourself, your family, and your friends, and to tell people where you learned it. Running a paid class or a channel around our lesson content, wording, or video needs written permission from us first.

Where to go next

If your question was about the course itself, the pages below answer it faster than this document can. If it was about these terms, write to us and we will point you to the right paragraph.
